Mrs. Universe is an annual international event for "the most honorable married woman", first organized in Sofia, Bulgaria in 2007. The event is open to married, divorced, and widowed women from nations on all continents around the world, who are between the ages of 18 and 55, have a family and career, and are involved in a "significant cause". It is based in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The current and reigning queen and titleholder, Mrs. Universe 2021, is Ana Siradze from Georgia. The next pageant is set for December 3–11, 2022 in South Korea.
Comparison with Miss Universe
The Mrs. Universe organization was sued in 2010 by the Miss Universe organization for an alleged breach of trademark. The Mrs. pageant countered that "Universe" is a generic word, and pointed out that the Mrs. pageant is exclusively for married women while the Miss pageant is for unmarried women. The Mrs. organization opined that the lawsuit was part of a conspiracy by human traffickers to stop the pageant, because Mrs. Universe held an awareness campaign about human trafficking. Then, in 2015, the Miss Universe organization threatened legal action against Mrs. Universe for breach of trademark. This came on the tails of comments made by the first Indigenous woman to ever win a Universe title, Ashley Callingbull-Burnham, when she criticized the Canadian government's lack of support of First Nations people.
The Mrs. Universe pageant has continued to run despite this controversy, arguing that it is a pageant for married, divorced, and widowed women while the Miss Universe pageant is restricted to women who have never been married. Beginning in 2023, however, the Miss Universe Organization will allow married or pregnant women to compete in the pageant. Accepting married contestants reinvigorates tension between the American-based Miss Universe pageant and the European-based Mrs. Universe pageant, which was previously the only avenue for married women to compete for the Universe title. However, distinction between the two pageants still exists, where Mrs. Universe allows contestants up to 45 years of age, while Miss Universe remains restricted to women under 28 even if they are married.

Miguel Angel Lucas Carrasco of Spain, elected Mister Global 2022 last March, has been replaced by the 1st runner-up, Danh Chieu Linh, from Vietnam
The Mister Global Organization has made public earlier today, during a press conference at the Sofitel Saigon Plaza, in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, that Mister Global 2021/22, Miguel Angel Lucas Carrasco from Spain, has stepped down from his conquered title and duties. The 1st runner-up, Danh Chieu Linh of Vietnam, is the new Mister Global 2021/2022.
“We are sad that it happened, but the winner hasn´t been able to fulfill his duties as Mister Global, such as traveling when necessary. The Mister Global title comes with a responsibility – it is hard to win the title, but also to keep it”, explained the pageant owner, Pradit Pradinunt.
“We will always remember him as the same Miguel Angel Lucas Carrasco who won the title on the night of March 15th, in Maha Sarakham province, Thailand. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors”, the president of Mister Global concluded.

Famed superagent Ari Emanuel’s Endeavor is having an ugly time trying to find a buyer for his struggling beauty pageant business, and refuses to chop the price, The Post has learned.
Emanuel, the inspiration for fictional Hollywood agent Ari Gold in HBO’s hit show “Entourage,” has been shopping around his Miss Universe business for the last six months for $20 million, with no luck, a source with knowledge said.
The hard-charging CEO of Endeavor, which owns the Ultimate Fighting Championship and the William Morris Talent Agency, snapped up the beauty pageant organization from Donald Trump in 2015 ahead of his presidential bid.
Although the sale price was not disclosed, financial statements related to Trump’s political campaign said the organization was worth between $5 million and $25 million and had $3.4 million in revenue.
A person familiar with Miss Universe’s financial situation told The Post the organization — which includes Miss USA and Miss Teen USA events — books $2 million in losses annually, while generating revenue between $7 million and $9 million.
